Grupo Folklorico Atotonilco

at Fiesta Hispana in KC

Saturday 22 September 2007
Barney Allis Plaza, Kansas City, Missouri

Very traditional male-rivalry dance - The two male dancers "fight" over the female dancer until one of them knocks over the other (all choreographed, of course). Here the about-to-be "victor" (center, back to us) is knocking into the "loser" (right side) of the contest. He stays down through the rest of the routine as the "victorious" boy and the girl dance with each other, finally getting up for the bows.

Dance teacher Jaime Reyes adjusting a sombrero for one of the kids he teaches.

Ready to go on
