JAMBORAMA - Omaha Lindy Workshop Sept. 4 - 7th!STLBX - St. Louis Lindy Blues Exchange Sept. 25 - 28th!CAT'S CORNER LESSONS @ WESTPORT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH:
Lessons in Lindy Hop will be given every Friday night (except the 1st Friday of the month) at the Westport Presbyterian Church by Cat's Corner instructors Ed and Jenny from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Afterwards a dance is held from 8:30 - 10:00 p.m. Hang around for coffee or ice cream after that in Westport with us!This is an informal night so please feel free to bring music for us to play, snacks, and your own tricks to share with others! Please contact jlpool@swbell.net if you are wanting more information.ECM SWING NIGHT:
A social swing dance is held from 9:30 - 12:00 p.m. at the ECM building in Lawrence. Ecumenical Christian Ministries has been kind enough to allow us to hold an informal swing dance night on the upper floor of their building. There is plenty of dancing room and a very nice tile floor. Please bring your favorite CDs and a waterbottle. There is also a water fountain located downstairs. The best part of all is that it only costs $1 and all the proceeds are given to the ECM building for allowing us to use their space. All you Kansas City swing dancers, Lawrence is only a 45 min. drive. Its a blast! Come out and help keep swing alive!

FLAMINGO SWING NIGHT:
come swing every Sunday night from 9 - 12 p.m. in Lawrence at the Flamingo Dance Academy. Its located on 11th and Massachusetts. The Flamingo has a beautiful dance floor with lots of wide open space. Again, all ages are welcome. Cost: $5.

The most important thing to remember is not to be intimidated by other dancers...as a matter of fact, the KC swing dance scene is one of the most hospitable and friendly groups around! Formal classes are always an option (check the Yellow Pages) but if you really want to learn to dance, all you have to do is ask for a little help, listen to the music with your heart and
