Pearls is nestled in a shopping mall in the southwestern corner of 87th and Blue Ridge in the former location of Delmonico's. The doorway is underneath a walkway covering in a front-side corner intersection between two buildings in the mall.

Pearls is a small to mid-sized bar with booths to the left and bar to the right on entering. In the middle left is the dance floor area, vinyl-tile, and about 15x15 feet. The DJ booth is outside the floor and nestled against the back corner. Behind that is a table and game area.

Pearls was a sponsoring location for the a Two-Stepping documentary being produced which focuses on a Kansas City style for an African-American dance step. Freestyle, line dances and two-steppin were the main styles on the night of this visit.
