Strawberry Hill Museum, 4th and Barnett - 5-11 pm
Dancing, Food and Drinks, Raffles, Fun - said the poster. This is an annual event - and sometimes more - celebrating Kansas City's Croatian community. Getting together behind the museum at 4th and Barnett the picnic tables filled with people who also got up to dance (on a paved surface).
Don Lipovac provided music, presiding from a covered bandstand on the west side of the lot. One of the great things I love about these community gatherings is that everyone from toddlers on up participate and are welcomed. Here, the Kolo (circle) dance formed one of the mechanisms for everyone to move together.
